- Here's quite a collection... but does it count?
- VIDEO OF THE BEST GEEK GADGET COLLECTION As the "Camp california telepresence director" (Tom Hale) I've got a wild card entry for the "winning collection of gizmos". I am nominating Phil Torrone, an editor/contributor at Make magazine as the North American dark horse candidate. As befits our "telepresence" theme for Kinnernet, Phil will not be in Ohalo live, but here's a short video with commentary (1 minute, flash streaming video, DSL speeds) of Phil Torrone's current gadget collection in his house. Make sure you hit the "play button" in the lower left of the video to start it and turn up your speakers! If everything works out, we'll be sharing this in the Macromedia Kinnernet session as well (fingers crossed that we have good bandwidth to Israel from North America!) Not to be too bold, but I'll happily collect the prize for winning collection on Phil's behalf, especially if it means that next time I can come to Kinnernet in person! Here's a pic Phil Torrone on one of his gizmos, his segway (watch the gadget collection video here....)
Fourth category - Memorabilia (Hey it is not junk, it is part of history)
Competitors in this category will advocate the most nostalgic artifacts ever!(Tshirts, posters, stickers, inflating dolls, etc)
